The Anchor is a very early Christian symbol that is found in the catacombs. That brings the cross and the various marine Christian symbols (fish, boat, dolphin) and the Christian hope and Simbo Liza Christ. The Anchor is the symbol of San Clemente, Rome, the tradition says that the torture of death linked to an anchor and thrown into the sea.
