Standing with one banner, the lamb represents Christ triumphant over death. Standing with a cross and a gaping wound in his face, which symbolizes the passion of Christ.

Agnus Dei 2
Sitting on a throne or a book, the lamb is the instrument of Christ.
Because the lamb is humble, friendly, and innocent, lambs are often recorded on the tombstones of children.
