Butterfly Christian Symbol Butterfly has long been a symbol of the Christian Resurrection, because it is hidden in the cocoon and appears dead, but found later in a more beautiful and more powerful than ever before.
As a symbol of Christ's resurrection after three days in the grave, the butterfly is seen, especially on Easter. But the butterfly is a symbol of Christian hope of the Resurrection of each death.
