Catholic beliefs do not differ significantly from those of other major branches of Christianity - Greek Orthodox and Protestant. The three main branches with the doctrine of the Trinity, Christ and God, and the inspiration of the Bible, and so on. But less important doctrinal points, and there are clear indications in the Catholic faith distinctives.

Characteristic of the Roman Catholic is a special body of the Pope, and the strength of the saints to intervene on behalf of believers, and the concept of purgatory as a purification of the sky before the Hereafter, and the doctrine of transubstantiation - which is the bread used in the Eucharist is the true body of Christ when the priest blessed.
